Best News Ever!!

So much has happened since I last blogged 

Let me just say that the end of this summer is going to be EPIC

Why you ask?? just because...

 H&M IS COMING TO UTAH!

in the fashion place mall! Yeah baby! 

and I got the job as a server at Texas roadhouse! hello, money its been so long..

and school is almost over and the weather is kind of getting better!

and I'm living with fantastic girls this summer!

oh right. and..

I'M ENGAGED!!!!

He Proposed!!!

It's official and I could not be happier! seriously.

Although I would tell the whole story in all its wonderful details but I feel like the internet makes things as impersonal as possible as it is 

so if you want to know the whole story, I probably want to tell you in person so we can squeal with joy together in real life.

but the basics are that he read me the cutest bedtime story called

The Bear of My Heart.

and then asked me I said yes!!!! 

& we embraced just being so happy like  

 and then I ran to hug and celebrate with my roomies giggling outside my door

then that morning we got up around 5 to drive out of the city, sat on a hill & watch the sunrise, wrapped ourselves up in huge blankets, ate mcgriddles and hashbrowns, and read the book at least 3 more times, tearing up just as much as before and talking about our future. 

It was perfect. 

 & oh how excited we are to be married in the Logan temple late this summer! 

& im excited that my roommies kayde auger is married today! Gotta go help out at the reception & then celebrate with the love birds at the riter mansion! 

Gotta love spring & summer in UT you always have a reason to get dressed up and eat cake.

but I have been wanting to blog for 2 days! About this.. 

My Birthday! 

granted this post is about 3 months late, but my sister just posted the photos on facebook.. so holler at her if you're disgruntled. 

22 baby!

It was honestly one of the best birthdays I've ever had. 

My mom came up from SLC and I FINALLY got to take her climbing along with my sister.

It was seriously the best! I loved spending time with them in something I love doing. 

My mom was actually pretty good for a first timer, after she realized I wasn't going to drop her to her death.

Then we went to Coldstone and my mom brought candles so her and my sister could sing.

I love my family. 

I loved this day. 

Probably one of my favorites of life.

(following seeing the movie tangled. I cried. Yes, how pathetic, it has gotten me twice now. I know...)

I love the tradition I have inherited from Ricky & friends to get a shake from Charlie's every Saturday night. 

Even though I always get mocked for trying new/different combos. Life is made to enjoy ice cream, and I intend on trying all flavors. 

What if I died never trying pineapple brownie banana shake? I would always wonder what it would be like, and that is something I just wont accept. 

 (Ricky likes this shirt obvi, to be fair it is one of my faves too)

This pic is from the Dirty Thirty. A 30 min dance party usually held on thursday nights where no mainstream music is ever played. The playlist contains only techno, dubstep and remixes, THE END. It is awesome and we love rebelling against the norm top 40 dance parties that are thrown every 3 days in Logan. You need to experience this if you haven't yet to obtain knowledge of your inner dance god. Just saying, it unleashes moves you never knew you had in you. 

I need summer, so I can get tan. In my defense I felt really sick this night too, hate me for it. 

 Lego night. Another tradition but rather on Sunday night. Linds Lawls made this cake (one of the many she does) for her sis on the mish. We all took a pic to send her to wish her the happiest of Bdays. Besides the fact that I have never met her, I am "Bear's Girlfriend" which grants me the status of being in the picture. Hey, I take what I can get. following the pic we made a giant.. cup? oversized bowl more like of hot cocoa inlcuding the entire contents of whipped cream can and a package of marshmellows. needless to say my tummy was almost as upset as Rick's everyday tummy, which is always a bad thing if you know ricky very well. 

Oh exciting news! I got a haircut! First one since two Thanksgivings ago. It is nice to be able to brush out the ends. Yep, thats the excitement of my life.. haircuts. :)

Anyways, this is my life. as of the passed month or so. 

Now, I mainly have my nose in my laptop finishing up projects, drawing a giant skyline of nyc, working, or trying to adjust to the fight between seasons in this town. 

Don't give up Spring! You can pull through & overcome this nasty rain!

I'm glad Heavenly Father is always teaching me life lessons. Sometimes it just takes a couple times for me to get them.. bah! I eventually get them though :) 

Love Him, His Gospel, the temple & his tender love & comfort he always gives me when I am in need of it & ask for it.

Rainy Day + Pagoda = Happiness.

Today, is a great day.

I had class at 9, a group meeting & a test, which I feel pretty confident about. (get the results tomorrow, wish me luck)

I caught the bus up TWICE!

Usually, I hear it pass my house and my mind immediately cuts to me being at the top of old main stairs, my bag seemingly weighing ten more lbs then usual, me huffing and puffing at an embarrassing volume, that makes those around look at me like "is that girl okay? does she need help? she seems like shes suffocating.."

 I swear no matter how much I work out, those stairs are always humbling. 

& it was a really rainy day. Which is weird for me to be in a constant, downright cheery mood.

I think it might be because I used my roommates adorable old fashioned umbrella all the while. Maybe that's why the rain didn't bother me as much..

fun fact: I love umbrellas. I have somewhat of a teensy collection that I would love to make grow. So you can imagine my excitement when I saw this in my kitchen.

This picture doesn't even do it justice. 

Not only is it an umbrella, but a vintage shaped umbrella! Two of my favorite things combined into one wonderful creation. I did some research and found out the shape is called a Pagoda Umbrella. 

um..hi, Pagoda. Nice to make your acquaintance.. friendship? Be mine forever? i love you. 

I must get one (or 17) of my own someday.. Like maybe one of these.. (or all of them??)

Welp, due to the snow dump my art class in Brigham is cancelled! Here's to no near death experiences in Sardine Canyon tonight! Now that's something to be happy about :) 

Now I get to listen to more conference talks and take much needed nap!

I don't think there will ever be enough room to receive all the continued blessing that you are, but we will just have to make sure to go to the park a lot and let you stretch your legs. :)

My fave was... one I caught the endish of in the car on the way back from work. Didn't catch who it was, but he was talking about his wife & their son who cried in the night & he got up & took care of him & then the son ended up passing away a couple of weeks later? Help me out anyone? But yeah. so tender.  & the road to Damascus one. So grateful for the gospel & conference. 


Now if I could just kick this stupid cold!

Logan City Transit

Today:

I tried to take the city bus.

Baha Epic Failure.

My co worker gave me detailed instructions

Except I think I got the time wrong..

Cuz I waited and waited and no bus was to be found..

I felt like a little kid who's mom forgot them at soccer practice.

Thank you Heavenly Father for not letting me take my car for granted today and making to Logan mother nature be nice so that it was actually kindof funny & pleasant.

It is a beautiful day. Let's enjoy it before the blizzard hits next week.

kidding but I'm sure there will be one around the corner.. Gotta love Logan.
